Yahoo!’s rapid expansion in the Silicon Valley meant there were people from all ages and different educational background working for a common purpose. The policy of the organization was to invest in people, develop their skills to achieve success in the personal and their professional lives.
This created a window for POWER PACKS, a high impact short duration program which factored the time constraint. Each of the 3 hour modules was packed with the same power that a one day program could achieve. The module was designed to be delivered within the office premises and the participants could work before the commencement of the program or resume work after the program.
This also bought with it a feature of ‘nomination’, wherein Managers could nominate
themselves or subordinates for various modules etc. This created a high-interest group of participants who were all ready hone the skills for overall effectiveness
